Mango and Green Tea Smoothie

This might just be the perfect breakfast. This delicious smoothie combines sweet and tangy mangoes with the earthy goodness of green tea to truly brighten up your morning.

Green tea is one of the healthiest ingredients for your body; it will give you lots of energy and also aids weight loss, prevents stress and helps to fight off cancer.

You can also add protein powder to your mango smoothie if you like to maximize the health benefits.

Ingredients:

2 ripe mangoes

1 cup boiling water

2 green tea bags

2 cups ice

1/2 frozen banana

honey (optional)

Mango and Green Tea Smoothie

Directions:

  1. Add the tea bags to the hot water, then place in the freezer to cool while you are preparing the rest of the smoothie.
  2. Peel the mangoes, remove the pit, and place the flesh in the blender. Add the ice, one half of a frozen banana, and 1 tablespoon of honey if you like.
  3. Then remove the tea from the freezer and discard the tea bags. Pour the tea in the blender, cover, and puree until smooth. Serve immediately.
