Annabel’s Marks the Start of the Season with a Handcrafted Floral Summer Façade

There are few London sights quite as enchanting as Annabel’s in full bloom. Over the years, the Club’s ever-changing façades have become one of Mayfair’s great seasonal pleasures: theatrical, dreamlike creations that stop passers-by in their tracks and draw visitors from across the world to Berkeley Square, all eager to glimpse the latest chapter in its living fairytale.

This summer, Annabel’s has once again transformed its iconic exterior into a vision of colour, craftsmanship and imagination, unveiling its annual summer façade in celebration of both the arrival of the season and the Club’s 63rd anniversary.

Created by the phenomenal Tatiana Kharchylava, Creative Director of The Birley Clubs, her spectacular vision is a radiant tribute to the abundance of an English summer garden. The façade appears to blossom from the building itself, as though Berkeley Square has been touched by some benevolent spell and the walls of 46 Berkeley Square have awakened in petals, colour and light.

Inspired by English blooms at the height of summer, the handcrafted installation reimagines Annabel’s storied entrance as a floral reverie. Lush, sculptural and joyfully abundant, it captures the fleeting magic of the season: the softness of a June morning, the drama of flowers opening to the sun, the quiet glamour of Mayfair dressed for summer.

The unveiling marks the 30th façade installation since Annabel’s moved to 46 Berkeley Square in 2018, continuing a tradition that has become a celebrated fixture of London’s social and cultural calendar. Each new creation feels like a moment of theatre, but also like a gift to the city: a reminder that beauty, when imagined on this scale, has the power to lift an ordinary day into something memorable.

This latest façade is a remarkable feat of artistry. Featuring 120 handcrafted flowers composed of 397 individually created petals, it was brought to life through more than 2,000 collective workshop hours by a dedicated team of artisans, makers and specialists. Every petal, curve and flourish speaks to the meticulous craftsmanship behind the spectacle, a world of quiet labour hidden beneath the final burst of wonder.

“Annabel’s has always been a place of imagination, beauty and exceptional craftsmanship,” said Tatiana Kharchylava, Creative Director of The Birley Clubs. “I wanted to create something that captures the joy and optimism of summer while paying tribute to the creativity and artistry that have long defined Annabel’s. The façade is designed to surprise, delight and bring a sense of wonder to everyone who passes by.”

That sense of wonder has long been part of Annabel’s mythology. The Club does not merely decorate for the season; it creates a world. Its façades have become modern London landmarks in their own right, ephemeral works of art that appear for a few magical weeks before disappearing, leaving behind only photographs, memories and the anticipation of what might come next.

For summer 2026, that world is one of petals and possibility. A lavish floral fantasy in the heart of Mayfair, the new façade captures Annabel’s at its most romantic. Another masterpiece on Berkeley Square.

The summer façade at Annabel’s will remain in place from Tuesday 9 June to Friday 17 July.
