A year ago, a seven-storey townhouse quietly opened its doors in Soho. There was no fanfare, no guest list splashed across social media just a low-lit launch and a promise: apply for an invitation, and if you’re in, you’re in. What began as a house party has since become the answer to what London nightlife was missing.
Dreamed up by Stormzy in collaboration with hospitality group Cream, House Party was built around a deceptively simple idea: nights that feel like you’re at your mate’s place. No velvet ropes. No VIP enclaves. Just music, energy, and the kind of spontaneity that clubs lost somewhere along the way.
Now, to mark its first birthday, House Party is celebrating in true fashion by going bigger, but staying just as intimate. All throughout June, each of its seven floors will come alive with surprise moments. From secret kitchen sets with brand partners, premium French beer 1664 Bière on pour, to unannounced rooftop takeovers, and a golden-ticket prize: a chance to win the entire house for a night.
A New Kind of Nightlife
Over the past 12 months, House Party has redefined what a “premium” night out can look like. It’s become the go-to for artists and insiders who want a night without the performance. Household names vanish into the crowd, phones stay mostly pocketed, and the only real status symbol is being present before 10PM.
From the outset, House Party established a unique rhythm. The application only entry keeps the crowd curated not exclusive for the sake of it, but intentional. Every night feels thought through, never packed for numbers. It’s this measured approach that’s earned it a place on London’s underground circuit, spread by whispers rather than ad campaigns.
No press boards. No paparazzi. Just a space you can rent by the room—or take over entirely—for a private, closed-door party. Since opening, the house has hosted brands like 1664 Bière, IKEA, and Slawn. Idris Elba calls it his favourite bar in London. Artists like Nelly, The Streets, Sean Paul, Sexyy Red, and DJ AG have dropped in unannounced. No headline billing. No build-up. Just right-place, right-time magic.
Streetstakes & Afterhours Essentials
Starting June 6th, House Party introduces Streetstakes—its own spin on the Postcode Lottery. Every guest who successfully secures entry receives a Streetstakes Ticket. Then, each Thursday at 5PM, followers can tune into HPTV Liveon Instagram, hosted by Patty O, to see that week’s winning numbers drawn. Match all four, and House Party becomes your house: a full night for you and 50 friends, a £1,000 bar tab at Dad’s Bar, and a night to remember. There are four of these golden nights up for grabs—if nobody wins, the prize rolls over.
Also dropping this month: The Pause Pack; a curated afterparty kit for when the music stops, but you’re not quite done. Each limited-edition pack includes a lighter, an ashtray incense burner, and a 20-pack of incense sticks that look exactly like cigarettes. With notes of labdanum and sage, it’s designed for the in-between hours. Only a lucky few “housemates” will get one.
Midnight Moves & Pizza Slices
This June, 22:00 becomes the witching hour. Fridays might bring an intimate one-off performance in the living room, Saturdays an impromptu set in the basement. One night the kitchen’s a stage, the next it’s back to being your best friend’s house. Nothing is ever promoted. Everything just… happens. You just have to be there before 10.
And for those not lucky enough to be inside the townhouse, the party still delivers—literally. House Party’s NYC-style 18-inch XXL slice menu is now available on Deliveroo from Thursday to Saturday, 8PM to 2AM. Think Pepperoni & Hot Honey, Pineapple Express, and a side of crispy tater tots.
Stormzy, co-founder of House Party, puts it simply:
“It all started with a simple idea: to bring back parties that actually felt alive. No velvet ropes, no VIP sections—just good people and great music. Somehow, we made that happen in Soho from the get go. Now, a year in, we’re super grateful for the support that’s kept us going and helped us grow. All I’m saying is… we’re ready for another big year.”
Happy birthday to the house that built a movement.
