Since its founding in 1874, Louis XIII, the iconic cognac crafted by the House of Rémy Martin, has embodied the pinnacle of excellence in spirits, an enduring symbol of time, heritage, artistry, and timeless luxury. With a legacy that spans centuries and honours every drop of aged eaux-de-vie, Louis XIII has always stood as more than a cognac, it is a ritual, a moment, a memory in the making.
Now, in an extraordinary extension of its world, Louis XIII introduces Art de la Table, its first-ever homeware collection. This exquisite line of porcelain tableware is crafted in collaboration with one of France’s most prestigious porcelain houses: JL Coquet, a name synonymous with fine Limoges porcelain and revered for over 200 years for its innovation, purity of form, and meticulous artisanal savoir-faire.
Together, Louis XIII and JL Coquet have created a collection that reflects not only a meeting of two French Maison’s of excellence, but also a shared philosophy: that true luxury is not simply in what is served, but in how it is experienced.
From Versailles to the Present: A Toast to Timeless Moments
For generations, Louis XIII has graced the world’s most distinguished tables—from opulent banquets at Versailles, to private dinners attended by the likes of Queen Elizabeth II, Winston Churchill, and President John F. Kennedy. These historic toasts have celebrated not just grand occasions, but the legacy of time itself.
Now, with the Art de la Table collection, Louis XIII elevates the act of gathering into something even more profound—a refined ritual that unites fine spirits, design, and hospitality. This collection invites hosts and guests alike to transform everyday moments into extraordinary experiences, infused with grace, conversation, and connection.
Introducing the Art de la Table Collection
Designed as an homage to the essence of Louis XIII cognac, the collection launches with two exclusive and deeply symbolic porcelain lines—each one inspired by the journey of cognac, from soil to cellar, from time to light.
“Soil is Our Soul”
Rooted in the terroir of Grande Champagne, the birthplace of Louis XIII’s eaux-de-vie, this line features a distinctive 3D texture that evokes the complexity of the soil. Every ridge and ripple on the porcelain’s surface tells the story of the earth’s role in shaping the flavour and soul of Louis XIII. It is a tactile tribute to origin—a reminder that all great things begin in the ground beneath our feet.
“Light of Time”
Inspired by the passage of time and the mysterious beauty of aging in the Maison’s dark, humid cellars, this line is imbued with a luminous finish and hand-drawn copper lines, capturing the play of light as it dances across the porcelain’s surface. The effect is ever-changing—just as the Cellar Master reveals new depths with each blend. This collection embodies the alchemical transformation of time, where shadow and brilliance co-exist.
The Artistry of JL Coquet: A Legacy in Limoges Porcelain
Founded in 1824 in the heart of Limoges, JL Coquet has been crafting porcelain of the highest calibre for nearly two centuries. Recognised worldwide for its ultra-fine clay, unparalleled whiteness, and clean architectural forms, JL Coquet brings to the Louis XIII collaboration a legacy of innovation and a commitment to French craftsmanship.
Each piece in the Art de la Table collection is handcrafted by over 40 artisans in JL Coquet’s historic workshops, with each set requiring three to four weeks to complete. The attention to detail—from the delicate copper inlays to the tactile finishes—ensures that every item is as much a work of art as it is functional tableware.
With a shared belief in exceptional craftsmanship, timeless design, and French heritage, JL Coquet and Louis XIII have created more than a collection, they have crafted a new ritual of refinement.
