A Vineyard Reverie at Gran Hotel Mas d’en Bruno

Set within the dramatic landscape of Priorat, surrounded by vineyards and mountains, Gran Hotel Mas d’en Bruno offers a retreat deeply connected to its environment. Housed in a restored historic estate, they balance heritage architecture with contemporary refinement, preserving original stonework and arched features while introducing modern elegance.

With just 24 suites, the atmosphere remains intimate and highly personalised. The estate unfolds across landscaped grounds with vineyards, gardens, an outdoor pool, dining spaces and a wine cellar, creating a destination that feels immersive rather than simply luxurious.

Suites

Bruno’s Suite, the Presidential offering within the Masía, spans 120m² and feels closer to a private residence. A dining room, dressing area and living space anchored by a double-sided fireplace create depth and warmth. Roman-inspired bathing elements introduce classical indulgence, while original arched doors open onto a private garden, enhancing its sense of seclusion.

The Private Pool Vineyards Suite, located within the Atelier building, offers 55m² of understated elegance. A private terrace frames vineyard views, allowing the surrounding landscape to define the experience. The design remains restrained, encouraging complete disconnection.

Exploring Priorat

Guests are offered the use of a Mini Cooper to explore the region, turning vineyard-lined roads into part of the experience itself. A visit to Escaladei Carthusian Monastery adds historical depth to the stay, grounding the indulgence of the estate in Priorat’s heritage.

The Spa

The spa is conceived as an intimate sanctuary designed around subtle historical elements. A heated indoor pool, jacuzzi, hammam and sauna form the wellness core, complemented by hot and cold showers for contrast therapy.

Wine-derived products are incorporated into treatments, reinforcing the estate’s vineyard identity. Separate therapy rooms ensure privacy, allowing even a simple facial to feel calm, considered and restorative.

Dining at Vinum

Located within the Masía’s main building, Vinum delivers a refined gastronomic experience rooted in regional identity. Large windows and outdoor terraces overlook the vineyards and mountains, creating a setting that enhances the cuisine.

For starters, the National Lobster Salad pairs avocado tartare and gribiche sauce with delicate sweetness, while the Smoked Balfegó Bluefin Tuna Belly introduces richness balanced by pomegranate teriyaki and gently prepared endives.

For the main course, the Suckling Goat Shoulder is served with its jus, beetroot textures, yoghurt and fresh herbs, offering depth without excess. Alternatively, the Cambrils Baby Squid Confit combines ink sauce with botifarra sausage from La Vilella Baixa and Santa Pau beans, delivering a distinctly Catalan profile.

Dessert concludes with pears poached in Priorat white wine, infused with ginger and cardamom, finishing the experience with composed sweetness. A delicious delight to end a wonderful evening.

Gran Hotel Mas d’en Bruno offers a cohesive escape where architecture, wine culture and gastronomy are seamlessly interwoven. A truly exceptional stay is guaranteed, don’t hesitate, book immediately.
