Deep in the rolling meadows of Berkshire, where frosted lawns glisten at dawn and horses wander through copper-tinted fields, lies Coworth Park—the dreamy, quintessential British country palace beloved for its gracious charm, extraordinary tranquillity, and some of the most courteous service in the world. A Dorchester Collection masterpiece, Coworth Park is where English tradition is elevated with whimsical elegance, and where even the bathtubs, so deep you must stretch your neck to peep over the rim, pure indulgence.
This festive season, the estate awakens once more into a world of winter magic. Coworth Park has transformed into a picture-perfect wonderland: garlands tied with golden ribbon, wreaths perfumed with pine, twinkling lights lacing the Mansion House, and crackling fires that offer a warm glow against crisp countryside air. A towering Christmas tree welcomes guests in the reception hall, setting the scene for a season of enchantment.
Throughout December, festive afternoon teas unfold like a holiday ballet—scones warm from the oven, seasonal pastries shimmering with spice and citrus, and a live choir serenading weekends with carols that drift through the house like snowflakes.

A Christmas to Remember
The crown jewel of the season is the Christmas House Party—a beloved tradition that guests look forward to all year. Arriving on Christmas Eve, families step into a world crafted entirely for joy: children’s storytime in the hideaway, a visit from Santa’s elf, and the option of a midnight service at Holy Trinity Sunningdale, returning to hot drinks by the fire in the Drawing Room.
Christmas morning is pure enchantment. Little ones wake to the sound of footsteps—Father Christmas delivering gifts—before everyone gathers for a lavish festive feast with all the trimmings. Later, Cosy Corner opens its doors: a snug retreat filled with soft blankets, board games, classic books, and irresistible sweet treats. As evening descends, guests dine casually at Woven by Adam Smith (one of our all-time favourites), the Michelin-starred jewel of the estate, before live entertainment fills the Mansion House with warmth and conviviality.

Boxing Day: A Moment to Slow Time
Boxing Day at Coworth Park is an invitation to breathe deeply. A leisurely brunch begins the day, followed by gentle explorations of the estate—misty meadows, stately trees, and the poetic quiet of the countryside.
Cream tea in The Drawing Room is accompanied by a harpist, while dinner awaits at The Barn or Woven by Adam Smith. For those craving a playful edge, the Games Grotto offers pool tables and classic amusements. For complete tranquillity, the newly refreshed spa welcomes guests into its serene embrace, featuring eight treatment rooms, a snow shower, sauna, steam room, and indoor pool. Treatments from ishga, Natura Bissé, and Made for Life Organics deepen the sense of renewal.

A New Year in Glorious Country Style
The revelry continues with Coworth Park’s New Year House Party—two nights of countryside glamour beginning on 31 December. Guests are welcomed with a generous Ploughman’s buffet, followed by a gala dinner at The Barn or the Michelin-starred Woven by Adam Smith. Live music fills the Mansion House as anticipation builds, culminating in midnight fireworks that illuminate the estate as 2026 begins in dazzling style.
New Year’s Day carries the celebration forward with live entertainment and a caricaturist capturing the moment with playful charm.

For Those Seeking Private Countryside Bliss
