A Scent-Inspired Festive Wonderland at Shangri-La The Shard

Shangri-La The Shard, London invites guests to step into a world of wonder this festive season as the hotel unveils a scent-inspired Christmas tree in collaboration with Jo Loves and Warner House. Standing tall at 14 feet, the tree is adorned with twinkling lights, whimsical red and white bows, and an array of mini bottles of Jo by Jo Loves.

Adjacent to the Christmas tree, guests can step into a life-size perfume bottle, providing the perfect immersive Instagram moment. The installation promises a sensory journey like no other as guests are surrounded by a mesmerising kaleidoscope of mirrors, lights, and clouds of the captivating scent of Jo by Jo Loves. 

Beneath the tree, guests can discover a snowy scene where gifts wrapped in Warner House’s Starlight and Knotted Sash prints which are a hallmark of the exclusive Jo Loves x Warner House collection.

As guests embark on a journey amidst the clouds to create lasting memories, they will be surrounded by the enchanting allure of classic Christmas decorations, enhanced by the inviting comfort of Warner House cushions and furnishings that evoke a warm sense of nostalgia.

This season TĪNG Lounge will serve a festive version of its Skyline Afternoon Tea over the winter season, inspired by the signature scents from the Jo Loves Christmas Collection and featuring a miniature Shard pastry decorated with Warner House’s Knotted Sash design. Sweet treats include a Red Bauble filled with green shiso mousse, grapefruit and black pepper, a white chocolate, pistachio, sour cherry Christmas Tree pastry, and a blackcurrant and chestnut ‘Shang Mont Blanc’.

The High Tea will be served on a festive stand decorated with crimson bows, berries, and sprigs of pine. Classic plain and cranberry scones with jam and clotted cream will be accompanied by special-edition marble cake scones with chocolate and candied orange.

Guests can delight in seasonal finger sandwiches such as roast turkey with cranberry and beef with horseradish along with classics such as smoked salmon and cucumber and truffle egg and cress. To finish, the Warner House-inspired Festive Shard will be filled with white chocolate, apple compote and cinnamon sponge and served over enchanting clouds of dry ice.

Guests can also spend time together on Christmas Day with a dining experience at TĪNG Restaurant, which will be decorated with an opulent, bauble-covered ceiling. An indulgent four-course dinner will include traditional Roast Norfolk Turkey or Wild Halibut with black truffle, followed by a warming Christmas Pudding with brandy custard and redcurrant, or a sumptuous Dark Chocolate Orange Mousse. Guests can opt for a wine pairing experience with carefully curated options from an award-winning selection of wines, chosen by the restaurant’s expert sommelier.

On dates throughout November and December, the hotel will open some of its spectacular suites in a series of festive wreath-making workshops, with tickets available both to in-house guests and the public. Alongside magical views of London’s skyline, a glass of Champagne and freshly-baked mince pies, attendees will learn how to craft their own traditional festive wreath with a tutorial by expert florists from Raw Bloom, using fresh pine, dried fruits and florals and an apron to take home. Once happy with their creation, guests will be invited to enhance the aroma of their wreath by spritzing it with ‘Christmas Trees: A Lifestyle Fragrance’ by Jo Loves, featuring notes of fresh Pine with aromatic Lavender, Incense and Amber.

Guests can ring in 2024 with an array of celebrations across the hotel, with the views of midnight firework displays all over London. TĪNG Restaurant will serve an opulent New Year’s Eve Dinner with dishes such as native lobster, Seared Japanese A5 Wagyu, and a ‘Celebration Sphere’ dessert with Jivara milk chocolate. GŎNG Bar on Level 52 will host a Cabaret Celebration with live performances, luxurious cocktails, Champagne and Japanese delights.

At Sky Lounge on Level 34, guests can toast to new beginnings at a Rouge Party, with a selection of delicious canapés and lively entertainment in the perfect setting to dance their way into 2024. Ren Room and Li Room both offer VIP experiences with exquisite dishes including Sashimi, Poached Lobster and Champagne Macarons surrounded by prime views over the fireworks display over the London Eye at midnight.
