A Stay at Rixos Premium Dubai

Located on The Walk in JBR – Jumeirah Beach Residence – Rixos Premium Dubai is truly at the heart of it all. This is the hotel to come to if you want to experience the glitz and the glam of Dubai whilst also soaking in every moment of sea, sand, and sunshine.

After a 40-minute drive from the airport, we arrived at Rixos Premium Dubai. Stepping inside the hotel entrance, it wasn’t quite what I expected. A vast open space with an enormous ceiling and not a soul in sight. I’d later learn that’s because every guest of this hotel is out the front of the hotel where it is all happening.

After a long flight, we were eager to check into our room. It was on the nineteenth floor – there are thirty-five in total – meaning the view as we opened the door was something that stopped us in our tracks. Wall-to-wall and floor-to-ceiling glass overlooking the beach and the Ain Dubai – the world’s tallest ferris wheel – made for a spectacular view.

With windows so large, the bedside remote controlled blackout blinds were a dream – as were the extensive pillow menu and en-suite bathroom complete with freestanding bath tub, walk-in shower, and double vanity unit.

We tore ourselves away from our room and made our way downstairs. The hotel’s poolside is buzzing from first thing in the morning until the sun sets at night. The main pool has a swim-up bar serving cocktails all day long, while a separate swimming pool for little ones is manned by a lifeguard around the clock so parents can rest easy.

Glamorous in-pool loungers and cabanas can be booked for an additional cost, and for those wanting to go one step further, the hotel is also home to the Azure Beach Club. Located within the same pool area but occupying the very front of the hotel along the beach, the Azure Beach Club is open to both hotel guests and outsiders. Is it worth purchasing a couple of loungers? Absolutely.

We spent a day at the Azure Beach Club and it did not disappoint. We had two loungers on the first row by the infinity swimming pool which we dipped in and out of all day long to keep cool under the intense Dubai sun. A waiter took care of our every need – kept the cocktails coming, served us the most impressive sushi platter, and even brought us ice cold towelettes in the afternoon when the heat got a bit much.

The Azure Beach club is adults-only, has a DJ playing all day, and really brings the buzz. It even has a couple of ice baths available to guests, as well as separate cabana-style buildings complete with air conditioning, fully stocked fridges, and private plunge pools.

Just beyond the Azure Beach Club is the hotel’s private stretch of beach. It’s a perfect spot for those seeking somewhere a little quieter. The sun lounger mattresses are thick, deep, and oh so comfortable while the warm waters of the sea are gentle and inviting.

It is only when I ventured into the sea that I turned around to notice how striking the Rixos Premium Dubai building is – truly standout among the Dubai Marina skyline. Ultra-modern twin towers resembling towering shards of black crystal; they demand all the attention along JBR.

After the sun has set, Rixos Premium Dubai only comes more alive. It has nine restaurants in total, including Turquoise (the hotel’s all-inclusive buffet restaurant), Godiva Café, STK, Lock Stock & Barrel, Sip Song, Ammos Greek Restaurant, Luigia, Asil, and of course, Azure Beach.

I spent just three nights at Rixos Premium Dubai but made it my mission to try out as many places as I could. Turquoise is no ordinary all-inclusive buffet. Forget what you think you know about an all-inclusive buffet and allow Turquoise to re-write your expectations.

The Godiva Café is located just inside the hotel’s main entrance and so it looks out onto the beach. Most notably, it serves afternoon tea but it’s also possible to stop by for a coffee and a choux bun or grab some chocolate coated strawberries and a hot chocolate to enjoy in your room.

The world-renowned STK restaurant chain has a restaurant here which is most popular on a Tuesday when it’s Ladies Night (a big thing in Dubai). The Ammos Greek Restaurant is located outside between the pool and the beach and is a beautiful space with food to match.

Lock Stock & Barrel brings the entertainment. It tends to host a live band at least five nights a week and gets the place rocking. It’s available to outside guests, too, so expect this place to be heaving – it’s really no surprise when the acts are this good.

Rixos Premium Dubai is one of those hotels you want to see and be seen at. It’s a trendy choice in a buzzy neighbourhood and has everything and more that you could wish for from a stay in Dubai.

Rooms at Rixos Premium Dubai start from £685 per person. Price based on a 7-night stay in a Deluxe King Room in September 2026.
