Lavo London’s bottomless brunch brings a touch of the Amalfi Coast to the heart of Mayfair. The setup alone feels like a scene from a sun-drenched Italian hotel traditional antipasti spreads of cured meats, vibrant salads, roasted vegetables and pizza slices surrounded by crates of lemons, oranges and fragrant Italian foliage. All that was missing was the view of the med.
The atmosphere strikes a perfect balance between lively and relaxed a cheerful hum of families, couples and friends, all soaking in the golden weekend mood. Our waiter quickly took drink orders, and an Aperol Spritz felt like the only fitting choice for such a citrus-kissed setting.
Guests begin by creating their own starters from the abundant antipasti and the salad counter, a colourful selection of fresh vegetables, cured meats, cheeses, and Italian classics that allow you to build your perfect plate. It’s an interactive and deliciously rustic start that sets the tone for what’s to come.
For mains, guests are invited to curate their own plates from the generous roast counter. We opted for corn-fed chicken with crisp potatoes and root vegetables drizzled with rich gravy, followed by a separate portion of Penne all Vodka a standout dish, perfectly seasoned, silky and bursting with freshness. Nearby, the seafood counter gleams with towers of lobster and shellfish, adding a luxury edge to the experience.
Dessert was a showstopper in itself a tempting line-up of Peanut Butter Chocolate Cake, the classic Lemon Meringue Pie (the undeniable winner), and a selection of indulgent bites including Chocolate Cake, Carrot Cake, Apple Tart, and Maritozzi Cheesecake. Each one beautifully executed, but it was the lemon meringue that stole the spotlight with its light, zesty perfection.
All in all, Lavo London delivers a vibrant, Italian-inspired brunch that’s as beautiful to look at as it is to eat. Perfect for a stylish Saturday with friends or a long, leisurely lunch with family, it’s the kind of place where the prosecco flows, the food impresses, and time stretches just like an endless afternoon somewhere along the Amalfi Coast.
