Each September, as London readies itself for a season of glamour, London’s most spectacular private members club, transforms its façade into a living work of art. This year, unveiled on World Amazon Day, the annual spectacle returns with renewed urgency and breathtaking imagination, created in collaboration with The Caring Family Foundation (TCFF). Now in its sixth year, Annabel’s for the Amazon has raised over £5.2 million, with every pound channeled directly into reforestation, restoration, and humanitarian work in the Amazon rainforest and in communities across the UK and Brazil.
The 2025 installation, envisioned by Tatiana Kharchylava, Creative Director of The Birley Clubs, unfurls as a glittering globe, its surface breaking open with the tender force of trees. The design is both poetic and profound: a reminder that Earth and nature exist in eternal symbiosis, that the forests are not only guardians of beauty but the very lungs of the planet, purifying the air we breathe. Here in Mayfair, against the club’s historic Georgian frontage, the Amazon breathes anew, a startling juxtaposition that insists upon reflection amid the whirl of city life.
For philanthropist, Patricia Caring, co-founder of The Caring Family Foundation, the façade is more than artistic symbolism, it is a personal call to action. Having walked the scarred landscapes of the Amazon herself, she speaks with conviction:
“Each year, The Caring Family Foundation and Annabel’s, together with The Birley Clubs, unite to amplify one of the most urgent conversations of our time: the climate crisis and its impact on our shared planet.
Our Creative Director, Tatiana Kharchylava, has always had a poetic way of transforming our reforestation and restoration work in the Amazon into art, but this year’s design carries an even sharper message: that our survival is inseparable from the survival of the natural world and no place reflects this truth more powerfully than the Amazon Rainforest.
Seeing the Amazon first-hand, nothing can prepare you for the scale of devastation visible for miles and miles in every direction, it is a staggering and an alarming sight. That’s why I believe every one of us must play our part, not only in healing our planet but also by standing alongside the Indigenous communities who risk everything to protect the forest for us all.
I’m deeply proud of Tatiana and the entire team at The Caring Family Foundation for bringing this vision to life. Through this extraordinary façade, we remind London and the world beyond of a simple truth my 8-year-old daughter often repeats to me: ‘There is no planet B’.”
The Caring Family Foundation has already planted over 3.4 million trees and seedlings, supporting more than 39,000 Indigenous people, while simultaneously distributing millions of meals and pioneering domestic abuse services for women and children in both the UK and Brazil. Their latest innovation is a medical bus which is traversing one million hectares of rainforest to deliver vital healthcare to nearly 38,000 people by the close of 2025.
The unveiling ushers in a month of immersive experiences. Guests will encounter Marc Quinn’s sculpture, Light into Life (Release of Oxygen) (2023), a dramatic Phalaenopsis orchid enlarged to monumental scale, challenging the way we perceive nature’s fragility and grandeur. Inside Annabel’s, a bespoke cocktail menu, crafted in partnership with Cincoro Tequila, co-founded by NBA legends including Michael Jordan offers liquid artistry, with proceeds dedicated to TCFF.
Meanwhile, from 5th–22nd September, a global silent auction invites patrons and philanthropists alike to bid on extraordinary lots, including a day on set with Guy Ritchie, a signed basketball by Michael Jordan and an Exclusive Bottle from the Queen’s Cask of Bowmore. Most importantly, every winning gesture will fund reforestation and community care.
Annabel’s, in its inimitable way, draws together glamour, culture, and conscience. This year’s façade is not simply decoration; it is a gilded call to awareness, a vision of how beauty can be harnessed to serve the planet. Situated on the bustling Berkeley Square, bathed in the golden glow of Mayfair’s streetlights, the message is delivered with clarity, conviction and style: the future of Earth is written in the forests, and we all have a role to play in their survival.
