Experience La Dolce Vite at ALBA, Knightsbridge

London’s culinary scene welcomes its most exciting new arrival with the launch of ALBA London—an ultra-luxurious Italian ristorante on Brompton Road directly across from Harrods. Offering a transportive blend of Amalfi charm and Knightsbridge elegance, ALBA is set to become the capital’s latest dining hotspot, where impeccable food, world-class wine, and refined design meet with flair.

Designed by award-winning architecture studio YODEZEEN, the space evokes the spirit of Southern Italy through olive and terracotta hues, lemon accents, and a scent of citrus trees that fill the air. A handmade Venetian floor, furniture by luxury yacht outfitter Exteta, and porcelain from Ginori 1735 create a sense of relaxed opulence. Bespoke artworks by Bradley Wood and Linda Leupold complete the scene—part gallery, part sanctuary.

But it’s not just the interiors turning heads. ALBA is a feast for all of the senses.

At the heart of ALBA is an open kitchen and showstopping seafood counter, featuring a daily bounty that reads like a love letter to the sea: Sea Bass, Black Seabream, John Dory, Dover Sole, Turbot, Lobster, Langoustine, Mazara Prawns, Gambero Carabineros, and Jumbo Tiger Prawns. The display is as much theatre as it is promise—of freshness, of finesse, of flavour.

If you’re lucky, Sam might be your waiter—attentive, knowledgeable, and effortlessly charming. From the moment you’re seated, he guides you through the menu with precision and care, making the experience feel truly personal.

The food at ALBA is a masterclass in elevated simplicity. Dishes celebrate Italy’s diverse culinary heritage, filtered through a lens of luxury. Pizza ALBA, topped with Fior di Latte, scrambled eggs, and a glistening crown of black caviar, exemplifies the playful decadence on offer. The Saffron Risotto with Mazara Prawns and Black Caviar is another standout—rich, fragrant, and indulgently layered.

ALBA’s philosophy: relaxed doesn’t mean compromising. The restaurant draws on ingredients with impeccable provenance. Think Figliata di Battipaglia, a decadent buffalo milk mozzarella from Campania, and Culatello di Zibello, the prized DOP ham from Parma. Other stars include Tagliatelle with White Alba Truffle, or Sicilian Carpaccio Gambero Rossi di Mazara, all refined with signature touches like wagyu, truffle, or yellowfin tuna.

Desserts, like everything here, are designed to impress. The Panettone Tiramisu offers a twist on the classic, while house-made Italian gelato is served table-side in a display of charming theatre.

The wine list is among London’s most impressive. With highlights from Italy and France—including verticals of Masseto, Dom Pérignon, Romanée-Conti, and a 6-litre Château d’Yquem 1991 available by the glass, it’s a playground for both seasoned collectors and curious newcomers. The bespoke cellar is open to guests, inviting them to explore the craft behind each bottle.

Cocktails, too, are given the same reverence. Sip on a perfectly stirred Negroni, a bright Spritz, or something more inventive at the emerald marble bar, where each drink is a tribute to Italian aperitivo culture.

Whether it’s for a long, leisurely lunch or a candlelit dinner, ALBA is pure escapism, the effortless allure of the Amalfi coast has come to Knightsbridge.
