L’Ermitage Beverly Hills Unveils Stunning Design Transformation

L’Ermitage is a true hidden gem, situated on a palm-lined residential boulevard, minutes from the heart of Beverly Hills. Established in 1975, it is the longest-tenured Forbes Five-Star and AAA Five Diamond all-suite hotel in the world. The discreet urban retreat has announced an exciting design transformation, set to be revealed in late summer 2024. In addition, they have releveled their exclusive collaboration with celebrity facialist Joanna Czech, the celebrated A-List Aesthetician and skincare guru.

L’Ermitage Beverly Hills Hotel

L’Ermitage has commissioned Champalimaud Design’s New York-based studio to express the individual character of their exquisite spaces through extraordinary design. They will transform the L’Ermitage public spaces, including the lobby and welcome area, stunning rooftop pool and sunbathing area, as well as new bar and restaurant. Champalimaud has created some of the world’s most distinctive properties, ‘transforming context and heritage into compelling stories and unparalleled experiences’.  Recent projects include Raffles Hotel, Singapore, Badrutt’s Palace, St. Moritz, The Plaza Hotel, New York and The Bellagio Spa Tower Suite in Las Vegas.

The new destination restaurant at L’Ermitage will serve Costal Italian Cuisine and will be overseen by The James Beard award-winning Chef Tony Messina. His menu will celebrate the cultural crossroads where France and Italy meet, drawing influence from Sardinia and Corsica and the charming border towns that blur the lines between the two culinary destinations. The restaurant will serve vibrant dishes of fresh pasta, locally sourced fish and tableside desserts, paired with an extensive wine menu and exciting cocktail programme. Chef Messina and his team look forward to bringing back the art of tableside service at L’Ermitage – “a touch of old-world charm that complements our innovative, fusion cuisine.”

A firm favourite of esteemed international guests and locals alike, L’Ermitage (meaning ‘the hideaway’ in French) offers a discreet but elevated residential-style experience in Beverly Hills. The property is home to 116 spacious suites, all of which preserve the elegance of the hotel’s original design. They come complete with walk-in wardrobes, private French balconies and oversized bathrooms, evoking a sense of old Hollywood glamour. The pet-friendly hotel is also home to a restaurant, bar, rooftop pool and wellness studios.
