A Journey Through the Maison’s Spirit of Creation and Travel
Louis Vuitton will release a new book entitled From Louis to Vuitton, published by Assouline and written by Arthur Dreyfus, with a foreword by Pietro Beccari, President and CEO of Louis Vuitton.
This comprehensive volume opens the doors to Louis Vuitton’s fascinating universe, offering a richly visual narrative of its evolution from its origins to the present day. Featuring 320 images, 406 pages, and 54 thoughtfully selected words explored as thematic chapters a nod to 1854, the year the House was founded From Louis to Vuitton invites readers to explore its pages in any order, creating an immersive and unforgettable experience.
At once intimate and expansive, the book traces Louis Vuitton’s unique ability to combine innovation and tradition. It celebrates the House’s iconic creations, the historic Asnières workshop, and the visionary contributions of its Artistic Directors. The story begins with Louis Vuitton himself, who, at just fourteen years old, left his native village of Anchay, in France’s Jura region, to travel to Paris, where he would become the emblem of the spirit of travel and French elegance.
From those beginnings to the global Maison of today, From Louis to Vuitton retraces this extraordinary journey from Asnières, where the family home and workshop still stand, to the farthest reaches of modern creation. Throughout its pages, the book celebrates Louis Vuitton’s architectural boutiques, each conceived as a contemporary design statement that unites all the House’s métiers fashion, leather goods, accessories, timepieces, jewellery, and fragrance.
Beyond craftsmanship, From Louis to Vuitton also honors the House’s enduring spirit of travel. It pays tribute to transport by land, air, and sea as symbols of curiosity and adventure, and highlights Louis Vuitton’s commitment to its “Committed Journey” toward sustainability. The book also revisits the Maison’s deep-rooted ties to sport, including its partnerships with the America’s Cup and Formula 1, as well as the international exhibitions that celebrate Louis Vuitton’s creative legacy.
Encased in a Damier-patterned slipcase with a vibrant yellow cover inspired by the Maison’s signature saddle stitch, From Louis to Vuitton will be available from November 3, 2025, in Louis Vuitton stores worldwide, on louisvuitton.com, and through Assouline bookstores and Assouline.com.
To accompany the release, Louis Vuitton will also unveil an extraordinary limited-edition trunk, crafted in the House’s ateliers in very limited quantities. Together, the book and its trunk form a collectible invitation to delve into the Louis Vuitton universe a story defined by craftsmanship, creativity, and an ever-evolving vision of travel.
