Stephane Muratet for Louis Vuitton

This comprehensive volume opens the doors to Louis Vuitton’s fascinating universe, offering a richly visual narrative of its evolution from its origins to the present day. Featuring 320 images406 pages, and 54 thoughtfully selected words explored as thematic chapters a nod to 1854, the year the House was founded From Louis to Vuitton invites readers to explore its pages in any order, creating an immersive and unforgettable experience.

At once intimate and expansive, the book traces Louis Vuitton’s unique ability to combine innovation and tradition. It celebrates the House’s iconic creations, the historic Asnières workshop, and the visionary contributions of its Artistic Directors. The story begins with Louis Vuitton himself, who, at just fourteen years old, left his native village of Anchay, in France’s Jura region, to travel to Paris, where he would become the emblem of the spirit of travel and French elegance.

From those beginnings to the global Maison of today, From Louis to Vuitton retraces this extraordinary journey from Asnières, where the family home and workshop still stand, to the farthest reaches of modern creation. Throughout its pages, the book celebrates Louis Vuitton’s architectural boutiques, each conceived as a contemporary design statement that unites all the House’s métiers fashion, leather goods, accessories, timepieces, jewellery, and fragrance.
