Max Mara SS’26 Backstage Beauty: A Renaissance Glow with NARS

At Milan Fashion Week Spring/Summer 2026, Max Mara unveiled a beauty look that perfectly captured the brand’s timeless yet modern ethos. Backstage, lead makeup artist Jane Richardson, working with NARS Cosmetics, created an aesthetic inspired by the Renaissance luminous skin, delicate hints of colour, and a soft natural glow that celebrated individuality.

“It’s about fresh-faced beauty with subtle hints of colour allowing each model’s own personality to shine through,” said Richardson.

The preparation began with the NARS Light Reflecting skincare collection Toning Treatment LotionFirming SerumMoisturizer, and Eye Cream — to create a hydrated and glowing base. Skin was then perfected with the house favourites: the Radiant Creamy ConcealerSoft Matte Complete Concealer, and a soft veil of Light Reflecting Setting Powder.

On the cheeks, Richardson introduced The Multiple, a new multi-use stick launching this season, alongside the Afterglow Liquid Blush, applied in varied shades to give each model a naturally flushed finish. The lips were kept sheer and effortless with the Afterglow Lip Balm in Clean Cut, adding just the right amount of shine.

The result was a modern take on Renaissance beauty: skin that looked lit from within, cheeks that suggested the faintest kiss of colour, and lips with a whisper of softness. It was minimal yet deeply romantic, echoing Max Mara’s Spring/Summer 2026 collection — understated luxury with lasting impact.
