Maybourne’s The Emory, a New Architectural Icon Opens in April

Maybourne is a prestigious luxury hotel company renowned for its collection of exquisite properties in prime locations across the world, including London, Monaco and Beverly Hills. Founded in 1931, the group has consistently delivered an unparalleled level of opulence its clientele. With a focus on elegance and attentive service, Maybourne has earned a reputation for being one of the true icons of hospitality.

Maybourne is committed to sustainability and responsible luxury, implementing eco-friendly practices across its properties. Its dedication to delivering exceptional guest experiences has garnered numerous awards and accolades, solidifying its position as a leader in the luxury hospitality sector.

Whether you seek a luxurious retreat in the heart of London or a lavish escape in glittering Monaco or Beverly Hills, Maybourne promises an unforgettable stay defined by unparalleled service, exquisite design, and a commitment to exceeding expectations.

The group’s flagship London properties include Claridge’s, The Connaught and The Berkeley in London, all of which exude timeless charm, character and sophistication. Each hotel is uniquely designed and offers world-class amenities, including Michelin-starred restaurants, sumptuous spa facilities, and beautifully appointed rooms and suites.

The Maybourne portfolio is already iconic but it is set to be even more so with the opening of The Emory, its fourth hotel in the capital. Located in the heart of Knightsbridge, this modern architectural masterpiece, conceived by the late Richard Rogers and Ivan Harbour of RSHP, is set to welcome guests in April 2024, marking the group’s sixth hotel, alongside The Maybourne Beverly Hills and The Maybourne Riviera, and the culmination of nearly a decade of meticulous planning and development.

The Emory reimagines hospitality with a focus on intimacy and tranquility reminiscent of luxury residential living. Featuring a discreet private entrance on Old Barrack Yard, nestled between Belgravia and Knightsbridge, and a striking ‘sails’ structure that soars above Hyde Park’s treetops, this all-suite hotel boasts 60 luminous suites spread over nine floors, including a spectacular penthouse by Rigby & Rigby. Each floor showcases the distinctive style of a world-class interior designer, ensuring exquisite craftsmanship and attention to detail.

Setting a new benchmark in service, The Emory offers guests a return car transfer from private airfields or international airports, daily English breakfast, in-suite private bars, access to a wellness club, and round-the-clock assistance from a personal Emory Assistant (EA). The hotel’s pièce de résistance is its rooftop, designed by Rémi Tessier, providing a 360-degree view of the capital and housing the exclusive ‘Bar 33’ and The Emory Cigar Merchants.

Culinary excellence is embodied by Jean-Georges Vongerichten, who brings his acclaimed abc concept to London, uniting his legendary New York establishments: abc kitchen, abcV, and abc cocina. Beneath ground, a cutting-edge wellness space awaits, featuring a 22-meter pool spread across four floors.

Maybourne’s CEO, Gianluca Muzzi, expressed excitement about this groundbreaking addition to their distinguished family, emphasizing its role as a hub of art and culture, solidifying the group’s commitment to growth and innovation. The Emory represents a bold new chapter for the company, marking its first London property in 50 years.
