Regeneration 2030: Louis Vuitton Unveils Its Next Sustainability Chapter

Louis Vuitton introduced Regeneration 2030, the next chapter in its environmental roadmap marking a shift from preservation towards regeneration.

At the heart of the House lies a long-standing belief: the world is meant to be explored. But as climate change, biodiversity loss and water scarcity increasingly threaten that world, Louis Vuitton is evolving its approach guided by innovation and science to support ecosystems and communities for generations to come.

Moving Beyond Preservation

Regeneration signals a fundamental rethink in how Louis Vuitton creates. The focus is on transforming sourcing, design and manufacturing processes to do more with less, while reducing environmental impact across all activities.

This includes extending the life of creations, accelerating innovation in materials, lowering the impact of transport, and improving the environmental performance of operations.

Central to this is Louis Vuitton’s Creative Circularity approach applied across the full lifecycle of its creations integrating circular principles at every stage of the value chain and mobilising a global network of partners.

This new ambition builds on years of existing action. Louis Vuitton has focused on extending the life of its creations, integrating eco-design across products, windows, fashion shows and exhibitions, and reducing impacts from operations.

The House has also implemented high standards for sourcing and traceability across its value chain.

Since 2020, these efforts have been structured under Our Committed Journey, Louis Vuitton’s sustainable development roadmap, aligned with LVMH’s LIFE 360 programme.

A Collective Movement Towards 2030

Regeneration 2030 builds on this progress while setting a new direction. It mobilises teams across all métiers, alongside workshops, stores, suppliers, partners and institutions forming a collective movement driven by cooperation and continuous improvement.

The strategy is structured around three core pillars:

  • Contributing positively to environmental transition
  • Continuing to deploy circular creativity
  • Innovating in sustainable operations

Together, these pillars aim to address environmental impact across the full lifecycle of each creation shaping the next phase of Louis Vuitton’s committed journey towards regeneration.
