I have been completely consumed by Love Story. The kind of obsession where one episode turns into three, where you start googling filming locations at midnight, and suddenly your entire wardrobe feels wrong.
I’ve reorganised my closet in honour of Carolyn Bessette’s effortless 90s minimalism. The show’s playlist, all those perfectly chosen 90s classics, has been on repeat in my car for weeks. There’s something about this particular wave of nostalgia that feels comforting and impossibly chic.

So when rhode announced that Sarah Pidgeon, the breakout star of Love Story, would front its latest campaign, it felt less like a brand booking and more like a perfectly timed cultural alignment.
Genius mood. No notes. And then, just as I’m deep in this 90s spiral, rhode announces new shades of Pocket Blush and Peptide Lip Tint with matching Lip Cases.
This spring-forward drop expands the brand’s core collection with two new Pocket Blush shades: Teacup, a raspberry pink that adds a fresh, just-pinched flush, and Candy Apple, a pearly warm red – notably rhode’s first-ever red blush.

Candy Apple is the shade that stops you mid-scroll. Red blush can veer theatrical, but this one has been designed to feel wearable. A warm red base is softened with delicate gold and red pearls, giving cheeks a lit-from-within brightness rather than a statement stripe. Dabbed onto the apples and blended out, it delivers that slightly windswept 90s heroine flush.
Alongside the blush launch, rhode introduces two limited-edition Peptide Lip Tints: Sweet Pea and Pretzel and this is where the brand’s community-first approach becomes more than a tagline.
Last year, rhode invited its customers to vote on in-development shades. These two rose to the top.
Sweet Pea is a pearly warm pink, scented with fresh berry and jasmine, luminous and spring-ready. Pretzel leans into shimmery warm mauve with a caramel-glazed pretzel scent, adding a subtle depth that feels grown-up yet playful.

It’s a smart move. Inviting customers into the product development process turns buyers into collaborators. The result feels considered rather than churned.
To complete the drop, new Lip Cases in Pea and Pretzel launch alongside the tints, compatible with all MagSafe iPhone models and cases, as well as iPhone 14 through 17 models. The accessory now a rhode signature continues to blur the line between beauty product and lifestyle object.

And in the middle of this 90s revival — clean lines, minimal makeup, understated polish — casting Sarah Pidgeon, fresh from Love Story, feels less like a campaign decision and more like cultural instinct.
Because right now, we’re all leaning into nostalgia. And rhode just gave it a spring refresh.
The new shades will be available to purchase on Monday 9th March at 5pm GMT at rhodeskin.com.
