Summer at Puttshack London: Unlimited Golf, Killer Cocktails and Big Prizes

There aren’t many places where you can fire a golf ball through a giant digital beer pong table, order a Hugo Spritz mid-round, and polish off a brunch burger in between. But then, Puttshack isn’t really interested in being like other places.

Crazy golf has had a slick tech upgrade, and I’m here for it. No pencils, no disputes, no awkward maths. Each ball is synced to your name, tracking your score, serving up challenges, and nudging you to the next hole with zero fuss. It’s surprisingly satisfying. Place the ball on the tee pad, glance at the screen, and let it do the rest. It’s minigolf – without the admin.

There are three themed courses to choose from, each dotted with wildly inventive holes and a few cheeky surprises. It’s competitive, yes, but also weirdly relaxing. Staff float around taking drink orders while you play, so there’s no need to break your stride. And if you’re in it for the long haul (you will be), Sundays are your golden ticket – unlimited gameplay all day, with big summer prize giveaways available in the background.

The rhythm of the place is spot on. You play a round, grab a bite, maybe go back for another. It’s built for lingering. The food menu isn’t just filler, either. The Puttshack potato tots? Loaded with cheese sauce, bacon and spring onion, and far too easy to demolish. The skewer sharing tower arrives like a centrepiece – piri-piri chicken, Mediterranean lamb, crisp loaded fries, a generous sweep of dips. It’s dinner party energy, minus the effort.

Brunch is happily excessive. The chicken & waffle stacks it all on – fried chicken, bacon, pickles, egg, and a heavy-handed drizzle of spiked maple syrup. The brunch burger leans spicy and rich, with gochujang ketchup, red chilli and a surprisingly fresh cucumber salad to cut through it all.

Cocktails come quick and cold – the lychee martini is a house favourite, and there’s a whole new margarita menu if you’re feeling really summery. At Puttshack, the tech keeps things moving, the drinks keep flowing, and the gameplay never really ends. You just stop when you’re full.
