The Landmark London: A Family-Friendly Luxury stay in Marylebone

A Grand Arrival in One of London’s Most Iconic Hotels

Tucked away in the heart of Marylebone, The Landmark London is one of the capital’s most recognisable five-star hotels. A true Grande Dame with over a century of history behind it . This Easter, it takes on an entirely new personality: one designed with families in mind.

From the moment you step inside, the experience feels both grand and inviting. The traditionally British lobby with its rich wooden panelled walls, intricate rugs, and elegant proportions. It is softened by a seasonal Easter floral display that brings warmth and a sense of occasion.

At the centre of it all is the iconic Winter Garden. Rising eight storeys high beneath a glass atrium, with towering palm trees stretching towards the light, it’s every bit as breathtaking in person as it is online, an oasis in the middle of London.

Spacious Suites That Make Family Travel Effortless

We checked into the Marylebone Family Suite, one of the hotel’s generously sized family-friendly options, and part of a collection that includes some of the largest rooms in London.

Designed with both comfort and practicality in mind, the suite features two large double beds alongside a separate living room, complete with plush corner sofas, a large television, and a working fireplace that was surprisingly easy to use. It’s the kind of space that immediately allows you to settle in, particularly when travelling with children.

But it’s the Easter touches that truly elevate the experience.

Waiting in the room was a giant Easter egg, a cuddly Easter bunny teddy to take home, chocolate cake, popcorn, and a curated film menu – including Marvel favourites, much to my eight-year-old son’s delight. These thoughtful details reflect the hotel’s Easter Escape offering, which is designed to make younger guests feel just as considered as the adults .

We genuinely didn’t want to leave the room.

Dining at The Landmark: From Comfort Classics to Iconic Breakfasts

Dining at The Landmark London is varied, relaxed, and well-suited to families.

For dinner, we opted for the hotel’s pub, where elevated comfort food is done exceptionally well. A perfectly cooked steak and a classic burger were both rich, juicy, and full of flavour, served with crisp chips and greens. Dessert had to be a traditional sticky toffee pudding, served exactly how you want it: a warm sponge and generously sauced.

Breakfast, however, is where the hotel truly comes into its own.

Served in the Winter Garden beneath its soaring palms, the setting alone makes it feel like an occasion. The buffet is extensive, with everything from continental cold cuts and Mediterranean options to a full English breakfast, alongside American-style waffles and pancakes.

We found ourselves mixing everything – a little Mediterranean, a little classic British, and something sweet on the side – the kind of breakfast you don’t want to get up from and enjoy it properly.

Even more telling was the atmosphere. We were surrounded by families and children from all over the world, all equally at ease – a true reflection of just how welcoming the hotel is.

Thoughtful Experiences Designed for Families

What sets The Landmark London apart during Easter is how intentionally it caters to families.

The Easter Escape package includes not just accommodation and breakfast, but thoughtful extras such as an interactive Easter egg hunt through the hotel, chocolate treats, in-room films with popcorn, and complimentary stays for children under 12 .

Its location adds to the appeal. Positioned in central Marylebone, the hotel is within easy reach of Regent’s Park, London Zoo, and Madame Tussauds – making it an ideal base for a family city break.

Service That Feels Personal

Service here strikes that rare balance between polished and genuinely warm.

From the moment we arrived, the team were not only attentive but engaging – particularly with my son, who was made to feel completely included. It’s a small detail, but one that defines the overall experience.

The Verdict: One of the Best Family-Friendly Luxury Hotels in London

Despite its grandeur, The Landmark London never feels overwhelming. Instead, it offers something increasingly rare in central London: space, ease, and a sense of calm.

For families, it delivers on every level – spacious suites, thoughtful in-room details, engaging experiences, and a setting that feels both luxurious and genuinely welcoming.
