Tucked into the vibrant heart of Borough Market, Mallow London is redefining what plant-based dining can be, and their weekend brunch is nothing short of magical. Think bold global flavours, elegant presentation, and dishes that feel indulgent yet nourishing.
Housed in a sun-drenched, glass-fronted space, Mallow strikes a perfect balance between relaxed and refined. With its clean lines, botanical touches, and fresh modern energy, it feels like the kind of place you could linger in all afternoon, and many do.
Let’s start with the undeniable star of the show: thePistachio Pandan Tres Leche. This dreamy dessert features a soaked almond pistachio sponge, bathed in aluscious pistachio anglaise. It’s rich, comforting, and wonderfully balanced, creamy, nutty, and delicately infused with pandan. If you order one thing at Mallow, let it be this. A standout dessert that’s as elegant as it is satisfying and absolutely worth saving room for.
But Mallow’s brunch menu goes far beyond dessert. We kicked things off with their hummus, salsa verde, chickpeas, and fried capers, a colourful starter packed with bold, zesty flavours and contrasting textures.
For mains, I chose the rocket and blistered grape salad, a refreshing medley of rocket, sweet blistered grapes, fennel, French beans, smoked almonds, and a savoury bagna cauda dressing.
My guest went for the Kashmiri Gobi, a beautifully roasted cauliflower served in a fragrant moilee curry with a punchy cherry tomato sambol. It was warming, vibrant, and rich with South Asian spices, pure comfort food, elevated.
To sip, I enjoyed the Watermelon Elderflower Bellini, a sparkling mix of watermelon, elderflower, and prosecco that was equal parts refreshing and elegant. My guest kept it classic with a Matcha Latte, beautifully whisked and just the right balance of creamy and earthy.
To finish, they indulged in the Mille Feuille, layers of crisp filo pastry, smooth chocolate cremeux, hazelnut praline, and a tart raspberry coulis. It was luxurious, refined, and a perfect end to the meal.
Mallow’s weekend brunch is a feast for the senses. The setting is bright, stylish, and full of personality much like the food. Every dish is thoughtfully crafted, the atmosphere effortlessly cool, and the menu celebrates flavour in every form, all 100% plant-based.
Come for the Pandan Tres Leche. Stay for everything else.
