Bottega 35 is in full swing. After opening its doors on 1st September for a month-long soft launch, this new Tuscan gem has officially entered its first weeks of full service — just in time to embrace the golden quarter.
Tucked away off Kensington High Street, Bottega 35 exudes an effortless blend of elegance and warmth. The space is spread across two chic storeys and has an intimate yet refined feel. White linen and candlelit tables set the tone, while limewashed walls, exposed beams, and brickwork frame minimalist dark walnut seats. It’s rustic and sophisticated. Expressionist artwork glows softly under warm lighting, adding depth and charm to the otherwise pared-back interiors.
To start, the Aranchini is a must — golden, crisp, and audibly satisfying. Hear the crunch as you break into the creamy centre, oozing with flavour. Together with the fresh Green Salad and a velvety Whisky Sour, it’s the perfect prelude to the meal ahead.
The Black Truffle Mafaldine is cloaked in a 24-month aged Parmesan cheese wheel. It’s delicately aromatic and indulgently silky. Equally so, the Seafood Tagliolini is twirled in a rich, tomato-based sauce, brimming with plump shellfish. Both dishes are solid contenders, amongst Bottega’s enticing pasta offerings.
For something heartier, the rosemary grilled Lamb Cutlets are simply divine. Tender and succulent, they rest in their own rich juices, perfectly complemented by oven-roasted potatoes. To further enhance the dish, pair it with a full-bodied, red wine.
When it comes to the sweet finale, choose from a short selection of Italian staples. Cannoli, Gelato and Bottega’s very own table-side Tiramisu are amongst the few.
Every detail at Bottega 35 tells a story. Handcrafted ceramic dinnerware from Vietri sul Mare cradles vibrant salads, sides, and desserts, while the hand-rolled pasta—silky tagliolini, rustic pappardelle, and more—is served on historic silver platters.
Bottega 35 delivers Tuscan cuisine at its most heartfelt. As co-founder Alberto Zandi explains, the concept is simple: “Tuscan food cooked with heart, poured with great wine, and delivered with that same warm hospitality Kensington knows us for.”
