VIOLET GREY Launches in the UK This April

For a beauty magpie, stepping into VIOLET GREY in Los Angeles feels like discovering Aladdin’s cave. I first discovered and stepped inside the Melrose Place boutique nearly a decade ago, and it instantly felt more like a private residence than a store, softly lit, very chic, with glass cabinets of meticulously arranged products and plush seating that invites you to feel at home. It’s intimate, deliberate, and indulgent; a space where every detail feels specially curated. You don’t browse, you absorb. I still have my VIOLET GREY makeup bag from that visit, carefully stored away, a small but lasting reminder of a place that redefined how beauty could be experienced.

Now, that world is finally arriving in the UK.

VIOLET GREY, the cult US-based content-meets-commerce destination known for its uncompromising curation and Hollywood pedigree, will officially launch in the UK from Monday 20 April 2026. For the first time, British customers will be able to shop the full VIOLET GREY edit via VioletGrey.com, with nationwide shipping.

To mark the launch, the brand will also unveil a British-exclusive experiential installation at Harvey Nichols, offering an immersive introduction to its world, alongside a curated selection of new and exclusive brands joining the edit.

Founded in 2013 by Cassandra Grey, VIOLET GREY was built on a simple premise: to eliminate the guesswork from beauty. In an industry saturated with choice, Grey created a destination where every product must earn its place.

At the centre of this philosophy is the VIOLET CODE OF APPROVAL – a rigorous vetting process led by an elite panel of dermatologists, aestheticians, makeup artists, hair stylists and industry insiders. Each product is recommended, tested under professional conditions and only approved when at least 70 percent of experts deem it essential – a standard that has become one of the most trusted benchmarks in beauty.

“We are incredibly excited to bring the world of VIOLET GREY to London,” says Grey. “From the beginning, our mission has been rooted in integrity, working with the most trusted experts in the industry to identify and deliver only the very best. The UK has always been home to an extraordinary community of artists, editors and insiders who have helped shape our edits over the years.”

Coinciding with the launch, Grey also introduces her first fragrance, Madame Grey, created in collaboration with master perfumer Jérôme Epinette. Crafted as an extrait de parfum at a potent 26% concentration and produced in limited batches of just 1,100 bottles, the scent marks a deeply personal extension of her creative universe.

The UK edit will feature cult favourites including Augustinus Bader111Skin and Sam McKnight, alongside a curated selection of new-to-market brands such as Eighth Day, Dr. Diamond’s Metacine, Sweet Chemistry and Fabbrica Della Musa.

As VIOLET GREY expands internationally, with further rollout expected from 2027, its arrival in the UK signals more than just a launch. It introduces a new standard – one defined not by excess, but by precision, trust, and the power of true curation.
