Six Senses Krabey Island, Cambodia

Cocooned on a private island that was previously uninhabited, Six Senses opened just a few years ago. Carved into the tiny island are 40 private pool villas engulfed in greenery. Inside you will find modern and minimal interiors, with subtle nods to Cambodian style and culture throughout.

As well as your own private pool with each, a large lap pool framed by trees with the ocean peeking through. It sits in front of the sunset bar, main restaurant and ice cream parlour. Tucked away in a private corner of the island is the Tree Restaurant where you will find Khmer gastronomy, which offers a fixed but changing tasting menu with modern takes on traditional Cambodian recipes.

While away the days by the pool, walking through the jungle like surroundings, or keep active with experiences ranging from water sports, island hopping and boat trips, or visit the Six Senses Spa and fitness centre where you can discover personal wellness programs, rooftop classes and an indoor flying yoga studio, as well as DIY beauty masterclasses using natural Cambodian ingredients. If indulgence isn’t your priority, guests can also visit for three, five and seven day detoxes.

Activities and excursions away from the resort can be arranged; from a castaway picnic on a nearby island or a Khmer cooking class, to forest bathing and the unparalleled opportunity to snorkel amidst tiny bioluminescent phytoplankton that will glow around you in the dark of night.
