The Laslett, Notting Hill

If you’re looking to stay in the heart of bustling Notting Hill but don’t want to compromise on luxury, seek out one of the town’s most distinctive regency-style Victorian townhouses, The Laslett. Conveniently located just moments away from Notting Hill Gate station, the iconic Portobello Road open market and the famous Electric Cinema.

Set across five interconnecting Grade II listed Victorian Townhouses,The Laslett has that boutique hotel feeling with a contemporary twist. The interiors consist of vivid wall art on a grey, black and white colour palette, with chic velvet plush sofas and luxury finishes. Named after Rhaune Laslett, founder of the Notting Hill Carnival, where you will find a mix of playful finishes throughout the hotel, which brings the joy of this eclectic location indoors, while being suitably comfortable with a cosy library to relax in and enjoy a book.

There are 51 guest rooms, all featuring private bathrooms. Unlike many central London hotel bedrooms, The Laslett oozes personality, with stylish lighting and décor. With an array of Penguin books on display and some rooms even feature the iconic Paddington Bear teddy and not forgetting seasonal welcome amenities – the attention to detail here is truly incredible. All rooms feature plush cloud-like beds, USB charging points, an extensive range of premium amenities and bathrooms are seriously spacious, stoked with REN toiletries and bespoke robes.

Designed around local British and seasonal produce, the Henderson Bar & Kitchen offers a selection of classic dishes with a modern take. The Henderson Bar & Kitchen is open for breakfast, brunch and dinner – serving a range of vegan and meat dishes. The creamy Truffle Hummus and Whipped Feta are both must-haves to graze on before the main event arrives – we highly recommend ordering the Baked Aubergine served with coconut yogurt, harissa and toasted almonds. If you fancy a spot of brunch the next day then the Wild Mushrooms & Poached Egg served on a potato rosti is simply delicious. The Henderson Bar offers an extensive cocktail list, including a selection of the hotel’s own bespoke cocktails, as well as carefully curated wine list and a very impressive tequila selection. The outdoor heated terrace is open all seasons and is the perfect cosy spot to watch the world go by whilst enjoying a Bloody Mary and bite to eat.

If you are feeling a little jet-lagged and after a wellness boost can enjoy cutting edge treatments at the Recharge Rooms at The Laslett – not your average hotel spa treatment menu, The Recharge Rooms focuses on wellness and strengthening immunity, boosting energy levels and stimulating brain activity.
