It didn’t take long to realise that Casa Felicia has earned something of a neighbourhood reputation. Sitting outside on the pavement tables on a warm summer evening, we watched a steady stream of people slow down to glance at the menu. More than once, locals stopped to tell us exactly the same thing: “This is the best pasta you’ll eat in London.” It’s a bold claim in a city overflowing with excellent Italian restaurants, but one that immediately raised expectations.

Located in the heart of Queen’s Park, Casa Felicia captures the spirit of a neighbourhood trattoria. The outdoor seating is simple and unpretentious, allowing you to watch the world pass by over an aperitivo before stepping inside to a warm, welcoming dining room that feels effortlessly Italian.
Chef and co-founder Francesco Sarvonio’s menu changes daily according to the seasons, celebrating southern Italian cooking through exceptional produce and classic recipes that don’t need reinvention.
The first surprise came before the starters had even arrived. Warm sourdough landed on the table and quickly became impossible to resist, crisp on the outside, beautifully soft in the centre and exactly the sort of bread you find yourself reaching for long after you promised you were saving room for the next course.

The Prosciutto e Melone was beautifully judged, pairing sweet, ripe melon with delicate ribbons of prosciutto in a dish that proved just how luxurious simplicity can be.
Then came the standout of the evening: the Aubergine Parmigiana. Rich without feeling heavy, every layer of silky aubergine, vibrant tomato and bubbling Parmesan melted together perfectly. It was deeply comforting, beautifully balanced and, without question, the dish I’d return for.
The pasta more than justified the praise we’d heard before sitting down. A slow-cooked meat pasta delivered incredible depth of flavour, coating perfectly cooked pasta in a rich, velvety sauce that tasted as though it had been simmering for hours. It was everything you hope Italian comfort food will be.

What struck me most throughout the meal was just how transportive the food felt. Every bite carried the freshness, sunshine and generosity of southern Italy. It wasn’t simply Italian food served in London—it genuinely felt as though the flavours had travelled straight from the Amalfi Coast. The tomatoes tasted sweeter, the olive oil brighter and every ingredient seemed to possess the kind of quality that instantly transports you to a family-run restaurant overlooking the Mediterranean.

Dessert continued that journey. A crisp pavlova crowned with beautifully sweet fresh strawberries, softly whipped cream and a scattering of buttery crumble brought the perfect contrast of textures. Light, vibrant and wonderfully fresh, it felt like the sort of dessert you’d happily enjoy on a terrace overlooking the Amalfi coastline as the sun begins to set.
Casa Felicia doesn’t rely on theatrics or unnecessary flourishes. Instead, it succeeds through exceptional ingredients, thoughtful cooking and the confidence to let classic southern Italian flavours shine. Judging by the number of locals who recommended it before we’d even ordered, Queen’s Park has been keeping this gem to itself for long enough.
