Enoteca Turi — A Trusted Favourite

Italian is one of London’s most loved cuisines. North, South, East and West, the capital regularly welcomes new Italian restaurants all year around. We can all agree that new establishments are always exciting but trusted old-timers are just as delightful.

Over three decades, Enoteca Turi has continued to deliver delicious, regionally inspired Italian classics. Along with their remarkable award-winning wine list showcasing over 500 varieties, they uphold their long-established position as one of London’s most noteworthy, wine-focused restaurants.

Taking it up a notch, Chairman & Founder of Liberty Wines, David Gleave, has joined the establishment to further enhance their carefully curated range. Initially started as a family business by former sommelier, Giuseppe Turi and his wife Pam, the couple have now retired and left Enoteca in the safe hands of restaurateur Dominic Ford.

Entering into the next chapter of Enoteca Turi’s legacy, Ford has begun with a new menu. In the past, the restaurant has regularly revisited its seasonal menu, focusing on the diversity of Italian food heritage. Striving to capture all the distinct, authentic tastes that each region offers, this tradition steadily continues.

Though on the main street of Pimlico Road, the restaurant has a cosy and intimate setting that feels tucked away from the hustle and bustle. The atmosphere is inviting. It’s brightly lit and the restaurant’s decor is a blend of simplicity and sophistication, with a mirrored wall that adds an expansive touch. Elegant decanters, white linen, and captivating artwork depicting the map of Italy segmenting its regions complete the aesthetic, presenting a display integral to their core.

The winter dinner menu is complete with meat, fish and veggie options. To begin, the Bruschetta is an excellent snack to pair with your aperitivo, which will be personally selected following a series of questions from the sommelier. Made with fresh winter tomatoes and Taggiasche olives, it is simply delicious.

For the Primi, Lombardia presents the simple yet sublime Spaghettini, which is made in a creamy chive sauce and topped with the finest Oscietra caviar. The juicy, slow-braised lamb is served on a bed of Castelluccio lentils and garnished with tangy gremolata. Famed for its legumes, this delicious Secondi is an Umbrian dish.

The leading course is by far the exceptional Dolci selection. Leaving guests spoilt for choice, highlights include, Tiramisu Al Pistacchio, pistachio tiramisu with mascarpone cream and coffee; Crostata Di Pere, a confit pear tart with mascarpone and vanilla; Bigne Craquelin Al Cacao, a choux pastry with custard, cocoa, vanilla and a divine chestnut namelaka cream; and of course, homemade gelato and sorbets.  There is a set two and three-course lunch menu available, priced at £24.50/£29.50, starring an irresistible hazelnut Affogato.

Open Tuesday to Saturday, Enoteca Turi is the perfect place for affordable lunch catch-ups, romantic date nights and intimate birthday celebrations. For an outdoor setting, a snug seating area at the entrance awaits, complete with an ambient fireplace. Additionally, they also cater to larger parties in their stunning wine cellar, with tailored, bespoke menus and arrangements available.
